Dear Parents of FULL Remote Learners, On August 21, 2020 from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm (tomorrow), Cumberland CUSD #77 will be distributing school owned chromebooks for FULL remote learning students who have completed school registration and do not have access to a personal computer or tablet. The distribution sites will be at the high school, K-8 can pick up their chromebooks in the hs ag shop and grades 9-12 will pick up their chromebooks in the cafeteria from 8:30-2:00. Every student will need a device, tablet, computer or a chromebook to complete the required school assignments and watch recorded classroom instruction. Full remote learning students who have completed school registration will be graded in the same manner as the students who return to onsite learning at school. The asynchronous learning will occur through the student’s school email account in an extension called Google Classroom. Your child will receive the necessary passwords for academic engagement when you pick up his or her chrome book. You will receive information from your child’s teacher or teachers to communicate how and when they will be available to assist your child. The students can complete their 5 hours of school work at a time that is convenient for their family. All assignments will have a strict due date. Report cards will be issued at the end of each quarter. Remote learners will begin instruction on Monday, August 24. Reminder: This is for students who are not attending classes on the CUSD #77 campus for any onsite learning.
