Today was the first day of Homecoming activities, and the day ended with the announcement of this year's Homecoming court. Congratulations to the 2023 Homecoming court!





Mrs Lee’s Geometry class constructed a poster to demonstrate Euclid’s postulates.





Retake Picture Day is 10/18/2023! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. Parent-Teacher Conferences are set for next week Tuesday, 10/17, and Thursday, 10/19 from 4:00 to 6:30 PM! Contact your child's teacher(s) to set up an appointment.


Join the Lady Pirates in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness on October 17 during the Dig Pink Night! T-shirts will be sold for the event during the home games on 10/10 and 10/17. Shirts are limited so don't delay!


The CHS Volleyball team plays for the LPC Consolation Championship vs. ALAH at 5 PM tonight at Argenta-Oreana. Good luck!!

Reminder: Friday, 10/6, is a Teacher Institute day. Monday, 10/9, is Columbus Day. There will be no school for students on these days.


On Saturday, September 30, Cumberland County Cross Country hosted the LPC Conference meet at Lake Land. Both boys and girls placed 3rd overall. All-conference runners from the boys' team were Cameron Roedl and Riley Morgan. Congratulations!


Today is National School Custodian Appreciation Day. We appreciate all the hard work our custodians put into keeping our schools clean and safe!


Students in Earth Science created Geologic Timeline Models by converting time in years to length in meters and putting the significant events in the correct order.




Last week, Mrs. Neal's students were working with measurements. The students followed a recipe, measured the ingredients, and cooked the pancakes. They enjoyed the reward of their labor!



FCA hosted the See You at the Pole event on Wednesday, September 27. Students were treated to breakfast after the event.



The Lady Pirates Volleyball team will begin LPC tournament play on Monday, October 2 at Decatur Unity Christian. Cumberland plays Unity Christian at 5 PM and Sullivan at 6 PM. Games after Monday night will be played at Argenta Oreana.


Mrs. Becker’s Interpersonal Communications class spent time creating a model of something important in their lives. While creating, the students practiced their communication skills. In class, students are learning the importance of healthy communication with the people in their lives.











Tonight's (9/25) volleyball game at Dieterich will be played in the Junior High Gym.

Mrs. Lee’s physical science class is learning about the states of matter. The class performed a lava lamp experiment to see how a solid (Alka Seltzer) has a reaction with a liquid (water and oil). The reaction created a lava lamp effect!
