The high school Chess Club had its first meeting yesterday. Students paired up to play a game of chess with other club members.
Senior Information Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 4, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. Beginning at 6, a representative of Lake Land College will present financial aid information. This information will be relevant for all students, not just those planning to attend Lake Land College. Following the presentation, additional information will be provided for seniors including how to navigate plans following high school, applying for colleges and scholarships, important dates, etc. Please plan to attend this informative night. If you have any questions, contact the high school office.
There will be no school on Monday, September 2, in observance of Labor Day!

Senior members of cheerleading, cross country, football, and volleyball will be recognized before the start of the home football game on Friday, September 6. Seniors being recognized with their parents should pick up a form in Misty's office, fill it out, and return it to Misty by Tuesday, September 3.
The high school cross country team will practice from 6:00 -7:30 PM tonight (8/26) at the high school.

Mrs. Gibson's BIO 100 class used the scientific method and observation to decide whether there is a difference in height between males and females; and therefore a difference in head circumference.
Cumberland High School's 2024 Homecoming dance will be on Saturday, October 5. Homecoming week is October 7 through October 11. Homecoming activities for 2024 will wrap up with the Homecoming game on Friday, October 11.

*The Volleyball game originally scheduled for Thursday at Martinsville, has been moved to Wednesday, 8/28. It will still begin at 6 PM

Picture Day is tomorrow!
The Cumberland High School cheer team is hosting Mini Cheer Camp on September 17-19, with the performance on Friday, September 20. The cost of the camp is $40, which includes daily snacks, a t-shirt, and a bow. Order forms with payment are due back to the grade school office by Thursday, August 29 before the end of the school day. Any order forms turned in after this date will not receive a t-shirt and bow.
