Mrs. High's 4th graders learned about prepositions and prepositional phrases recently. To practice their prepositional phrases, the students made paper airplanes and threw them around the classroom. Once the plane landed, the student wrote a prepositional phrase describing where the plane went - between the desks….over the rafters…. across the room!

Eric Ode, author and songwriter, visited Cumberland Elementary School this morning. He sang songs and told fun stories that emphasized how he came up with the ideas for his books. The students really enjoyed singing along with Eric!

They are pictured with their teacher, Jessi Allison, Paramedic Whitney Gage, Paramedic Doug Bridges, and Chief of Police Ethan Wicke.

AM Pre-K Parents:
We are going to adjust drop-off procedures to reduce some of the morning congestion. Please wait to drop off until 8:00 AM since most traffic has thinned by then. If you can assist your child in getting out or unbuckled, that will help to ensure that traffic keeps flowing smoothly. Please contact the Pre-K teachers if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you!

The Pre-K students had a picnic outside during their snack time today! 🌞
