Students in Mrs. Figgins' class honored veterans by creating thoughtful Veterans Day cards for members of the Cumberland County community. Students also produced agamographs. These artworks included written reflections about veterans. The students included photographs of family members who have served in the armed forces, recognizing their sacrifice and dedication. The class extends its deepest gratitude to all veterans past, present, and future for their service. Your commitment is honored not only on Veterans Day, but every day.

Congratulations to our elementary students who achieved perfect attendance in the first quarter! We appreciate your dedication and the hard work you bring to school each day.

Last week, Mrs. Wormhoudt's kindergarten students have been learning all about plants. They learned that plants are living things, identified plant parts, and studied the life cycle of plants. On Wednesday, they focused specifically on the life cycle of a pumpkin!

The fourth graders have been learning about the human body and how it works like a complex machine. Through hands-on projects, they built finger models to see how tendons help us move, explored what it’s like to experience the world without sight, and studied how animals see in the dark by observing how pupils change size to control light. They also tested their own reflexes to discover how quickly the body responds.
