On January 5th the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) will recognize Cumberland High School as one of the few consolidated high schools that have surpassed the 1000 win mark for boys basketball. We would like to invite all past/present players, coaches, and fans to attend this event that will take place between the JV and Varsity games that evening.
Also, following this announcement we will recognize winter senior participates and their parents.
School dismisses at 2:20 on Thursday and Friday this week. Christmas Break begins at 2:20 on Friday - Jan. 3. Have a wonderful holiday break!
The F/S basketball game on Tuesday has been canceled. CGB doesn't have enough players. The start time for the JV game is 6:00 PM.
This past Friday, the Middle School Kindness Ambassadors cleaned all the caps that were collected. Now, the caps go to a company to be recycled into a bench. This bench will be placed at the grade school in memory of Mike Oakley. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the cap collection!

The elementary and middle schools are collecting bottle caps to create a bench in memory of Mike Oakley, our Transportation Director. The specific caps listed will be recycled into a memorial bench to be placed at school as a reminder of Mike's positive influence on students, parents, and staff. If you would like to help, you may drop off your caps at the grade school office.
On Monday, November 13, we ask that all Cumberland students and staff wear Cardinal gear or red in honor of Mike Oakley, our beloved transportation director. Thank you!

The Cumberland community lost a beloved employee Thursday. Mike Oakley spent thirty years serving our community and school district. His work ethic and dedication were exceptional. Our prayers and love go out to Mike’s family. He will be forever missed.
The middle school boys' basketball game tonight (11/9) vs. Marshall has been canceled. It will be rescheduled at a later date.
All practices in the District have been canceled for Thursday and Friday.

Cumberland CUSD #77 would like to invite our veterans and their families to attend our annual Veterans Day Program on Friday, November 10 at 9 AM in the Cumberland High School Waldrip Gymnasium. The doors will open for visitors at 8:15 AM for rolls, drinks, and fellowship. All Cumberland CUSD #77 staff and students will be in attendance to honor our spectacular service men and women. Those veterans in attendance will be announced during our ceremony. Please check in at the table on the west side of the cafeteria/gym doors upon arrival. Those not in attendance can have their name displayed on our PowerPoint presentation that will scroll prior to the ceremony.
