The CHS softball and baseball teams won last night in their first game of the Regional. Softball will play today (5/14) at St. Joseph at 4:30 PM vs S.J-Ogden. Baseball will play at Teutopolis on Wednesday, May 15, at 4:00 PM vs Teutopolis. Admission for each location is $5.
Cumberland High School will host Scholarship Night on Tuesday, May 14, at 7:00 PM in the high school cafeteria.
The University of Illinois a cappella vocal ensemble, The Xtension Chords, visited the high school choir students this morning and performed a set of their own arrangements from their year of competing and touring. Jaykob Archer, a Cumberland graduate, is the president of this group this year. The students enjoyed the performance and asked great questions!
Last Thursday, the high school students were rewarded with breakfast and Bingo. Those who qualified had good behavior, grades, and attendance for the quarter.
Congratulations to Katelyn Shoemaker on qualifying for the IHSA state track meet! She jumped 4.92 m (16' 1.75") in long jump at Sectionals to earn second place and secure her spot to compete Thursday at State. Good Luck!
Cumberland High School held its Academic Awards ceremony yesterday. Congratulations to all of the award recipients!

Mrs. Becker's speech class wrote special occasion speeches as part of their mock weddings to finish their course. One class decided on a beach wedding, and the other on an early 2000 millennial wedding.
