The CHS Scholastic Bowl team competed at the Masonic Sectional at Meridian High School on Saturday. The team placed 1st overall! The team will now participate in Masonic State at Bloomington on March 8. Good luck!

Good luck to the boys varsity basketball team as they take on Robinson tonight in the opening game of the Regional! Come out and support them in this home game beginning at 7 PM. Admission for this game is $6.00. There will be no live streaming of the game because of IHSA policy.

The Math Applications class built derby cars to see whose car had the fastest acceleration, greatest velocity, and greatest force. Practice trials were conducted, and redesigns and calculations were made before the final time trials. In addition to building the cars, students had to plan their designs and fill out purchase orders with a limited budget. Tough decisions had to be made throughout the process.

The Scholastic Bowl team is holding their first place trophy from the LPC tounament.
The CHS wrestlers participated in sectionals this past weekend. The boys competed at Carterville while the girls were in Highland. Three wrestlers advanced to the state meets. Owen McGinnis and Natalie Beaumont placed 2nd. Summer Nichols placed 4th. Owen will wrestle February 20-22 in Champaign. The girls will compete February 28- March 1 in Bloomington. Good luck wrestlers!
