Household Hazardous Waste Event 5/14
Hello Parents/Guardians of Cumberland Elementary School:
We are excited that we are having a successful year and looking forward to completing our annual tasks. One of those tasks involves all 3rd-4th grade students participating in the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) testing. Testing will be April 4th-8th. These assessments do not define our students but are a snapshot of learning and instruction for continuous improvement.
Please encourage your child to eat a good breakfast or participate in our breakfast program. A good night’s sleep will assist them during these tests. The students will take one assessment each day that will last around 60-90 minutes. The rest of the day will be as normal as possible. Thank you for your support of your child and Cumberland Elementary School!

If your child will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2022, he/she needs to be pre-registered for Kindergarten. Please start the process at the Google Form link below. The form will be available starting March 14th and will close on April 1st.

Parents of students attending Lerna Bridges School:
Due to the Mattoon and Charleston school districts dismissing early today, the Lerna Bridges School will also have early dismissal.
2's Day Fun Coming Soon!
The Elementary and Middle School will be participating in some Twos-Day fun on February 22, 2022. If anyone would like to order a Two-Riffic Day t-shirt, fill out an order form and return it with payment to the grade school by February 2.

If you have previously listed your Veteran or active duty service man or woman in the past, you do not need to send that information again unless he or she has achieved a higher ranking or change in status. Reminder: There’s no school tomorrow, October 22, 2021.
Tomorrow, October 14, is picture retake day at both schools for anyone who was absent on the original picture day. Pictures may also be retaken if students bring in their purchased originals from the photographer.
Sarah Bush Lincoln Dental Services will be at Cumberland schools soon. Please return a completed form back to the school no later than September 3, 2021. Forms have also been sent home with the students.
