The CHS Lady Pirates are hosting a basketball camp May 22-24. Girls in grades 1-8 for the 2024-25 school year are invited to attend. All schools are welcome.

Students in the district will receive eclipse glasses to use at home on Monday, April 8. Here is some information about the eclipse and viewing it safely.

Mrs. Stierwalt’s kindergarten class made a cute Easter bunny treat for a snack today! Yum!







Grades K-4 played Bingo today for their PBIS celebration! Each class set its own goal to qualify for the celebration, and 100% of the students met the goal! Way to go, Kids!!






These students in grades K-4 had perfect attendance for the 3rd quarter! Congratulations!!

Ms. Koonce's Kindergarten class enjoyed several St. Patrick's Day activities last week!!





Mrs. Lee's high school science class visited the second grade with the leprechaun traps they created. The science students had to use one simple machine while building the trap. The second grade set out the traps hoping to catch the tricky leprechaun. No Luck! He did leave them treats and Shamrock Shakes, though!




The Cumberland School District and Project HELP Preschool will be offering free developmental screenings on Monday, April 15, from 12:30-6:00, and Tuesday, April 16, from 9:00-2:00, at the Toledo Christian Church. For an appointment, please call the grade school office at (217)923-3135.

Miss Kreke's 1st grade students have been learning about Dr. Seuss. On Thursday, the class read the book Green Eggs and Ham. Miss. Kreke made green eggs for the students to try!
