Cumberland High School’s Scholastic Bowl team will host the Masonic Sectional Saturday, February 18. Opening ceremonies will begin at 8:30 AM in the high school study hall room. Matches will begin at 8:45 with 10 teams participating. Teams are divided into two pools for five rounds, and the top two teams from each pool play for 1st-4th place that afternoon. The champion of the meet is invited to attend Masonic State at Bloomington High School in Bloomington, Illinois.
CHS’s Scholastic Bowl enters the meet with a record of 35-5. The team is coached by Nicole McCown and assisted by Julia Sappington.
