TEAMS II RIVERWATCH 2006 PROJECT PAGE
On Wednesday, September 20th, the Biology, Ecology, Pre-Calc., & Chemistry classes collected stream data for Hurricane Creek, which is located north of Greenup just off of Route 130. The Biology and Ecology students collected habitat & benthic macroinvertebrate data; the Chemistry students collected chemical data; and the Pre-Calc. students collected stream depth data. All of the above information was used to analyze & assess the water quality of the stream.
A special thanks goes to Dr. Marylin Lisowski & Dr. Bob Williams for the funding for the equipment used for this investigative lab. Also thanks to adult group leaders: Kathy Bradley, John & Judy Menke who assisted groups of students and made this activity a success.
