Wild Grape Vine Vitis species

Leaf:

bulletThe Wild grape vine has simple leaves that are alternate. Alternate means only one leaf arises from a single point along the stem.
bulletThe leaf edge is saw-like (serrated or toothed) and somewhat hairy on bottom.
bulletThe base of the leaf is heart shape.
bulletThe leaf is four inches wide and four inches long.
bulletThe color of the leaves are green with a yellow hint to it.

Stem:

bulletThe stem of the wild grape becomes  woody with age and sheds in strips.
bulletThe vine contains tendrils to aid in climbing. 

Flower:

bulletThe wild grape has a greenish-yellow flower that grows in clusters.

Fruit:

bulletThe fruit are in clusters, and each berry is 1/2 to 3/4 inch in diameter. 
bullet The berries when mature are a purplish-black. 

Form:

bulletThe wild grape vine can grow over 60 feet in length.
bulletThe vine is circular with an warty, knobby exterior.

bulletThe distribution of the wild grape is around the world.

bulletThe fruit from wild grape is used to make wine.
bulletThe essence of the grape seed is used for many things such as food and massage therapy.
