| At Cumberland, it is our goal to provide many opportunities for our students to become successful readers. The Accelerated Reading Program is incorporated into the junior high curriculum to provide such an opportunity. After reading books from the Accelerated Reading list, the students take quizzes to test the understanding of the book. Each book has a given point value, and students are working to earn a specific amount of points each quarter. The links to the Accelerated Reading lists are below. You will also find information regarding points required per quarter and other valuable information in using this list. |
Middle School Quarterly Point Requirements:
| Sixth Grade | 20 points per quarter |
| Seventh Grade | 22 points per quarter |
| Eighth Grade | 25 points per quarter |
